While many music festivals are known for drawing big acts, Life is Beautiful is unique in that the event’s organizers are truly dedicated to incorporating something for everyone. Spanning 18-blocks in Downtown Las Vegas that are shut down for the duration of the 3-day music festival, the city is transformed into a world of art, food, music, and comedy that is as immersive as it is uplifting.

Last year, the Life is Beautiful festival welcomed almost 80 musical acts, 19 muralists and artists, and 14 comedians. Life is Beautiful 2017 also featured almost two dozen inspirational and educational speakers, including Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Revitalizing Downtown Las Vegas with Art and Inspiration

Life is Beautiful festival was launched as a result of a revitalization effort spearheaded by the Downtown Project that aims to spur innovation through connectedness in the heart of Sin City. Since its debut, Life is Beautiful has become more than a festival, it has become a beacon of inspiration and positivity for its attendees. Art is a much a part of the Life is Beautiful experience as the music and all 18 blocks of the festival are bathed in vibrant art installations of every shape, size, and medium. In addition to bringing back previous art exhibits like the “Art Motel” and art cars originally featured in Burning Man 2017, the festival will feature sensory-stimulating installations that mesmerize and inspire.

The focus on creation and art at Life is Beautiful is perhaps best articulated by the dozens of murals commissioned each year by the festival’s organizers, who have invited artists from around the world to come and put their stamp on the Downtown Las Vegas landscape.
